Following are the common things which needs to
be checked when receiving industrial & domestic LPG cylinders
1.
Color
coding of the LPG cylinder (whether it is domestic or industrial)
2.
Check
whether the base/body of the cylinder is free from corrosion / damage which
creates chance for leakage of LPG
3.
Check
that LPG cylinders have the company seal and safety cap intact.
4.
Visually check body of the cylinder for any alterations (against the initial design of the cylinder)
5.
On any one of the cylinder vertical stays you can see
the painting like B13. Letter (A,B,C,D) stand for quarters
·
A for
March (First Qtr),
·
B for
June (Second Qtr),
·
C for
Sept (Third Qtr),
·
D for
December (Fourth Qtr).
The digits stand for the year on which next testing to be performed. The above mentioned
painting “D20” on the vertical stays communicates that
the cylinder is due for Hydrostatic testing on the 4th quarter of 2020.
Check the above
said points and comment me if any point got missed.
